Peas and Carrots - Sold

Peas and Carrots, 10x16 oil

Peas and carrots are such common vegetables, that it's easy not to see them as anything but part of your next meal. Yet they are so vibrant in colour and have interesting shapes. Walking through the produce section of the grocery store can be very inspiring, imagining how each item would look in a painting, never mind how it would taste in a meal.

    Delicious painting, Helen! Shopkeepers are always asking me if I need help because of the way I stare at stuff thinking about painting it. Makes food shopping, or even Home Depot (plants! shiny things!) shopping more fun.
