A View From Above

A View from Above, 5x7 oil

'A View from Above', painting #18, is a view of Burlington and Lake Ontario from north Burlington.  Burlington slopes down to the lake from the Escarpment.  It was a beautiful afternoon yesterday, so I decided to head outdoors to paint.  The lake seemed to be glowing this gorgeous blue colour and the sun was shining, making the snow glitter.  I was glad to get out of my studio for a while, and I am also a day ahead in my paintings!

Below is a photo of my view, just as the sun was disappearing behind the clouds, (my painting is almost done).
